Children with severe autism often find themselves deprived of leisure sports activities, as they are, due to their various unwanted behaviors or lower intellectual abilities, more difficult to manage and cannot engage in regular sports activities. The purpose of the article is to present the importance of physical activity for children with autism spectrum disorders and to present some special approaches of working with the mentioned population. Below, we also show some practical examples of sport activities that are inclusive and aimed at the population of people with disabilities who need certain adjustments. The most common signs that are expressed in children with autistic disorders are disorders of social interaction and communication, lack of interests and stereotyped behavior. That is why sport plays an important role in socialization, as it usually unites everyone by the principle of equivalence, regardless of specific needs, gender, culture, race ... It is crucial to take into account the health, physical and behavioral characteristics of children and individualized approaches to exercise</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Prispevek obravnava področje temeljnih športnih dejavnosti, namenjenih otrokom s posebnimi potrebami. Ključno je upoštevanje zdravstvenih, telesnih in vedenjskih značilnosti otrok ter individualni pristop pri vodenju športne vadbe</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-2105YZ0O"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-2105YZ0O" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2105YZ0O/18435d9c-6cde-4cdf-93d4-c44e0094f46a/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za šport</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2105YZ0O/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-2105YZ0O" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
