It present the reading-room materials, and its physical arrangement and avilability. It describes an example of an entire school year where each class received one hour of the Library and information knowledge in the readingroom. It also briefly mentions the modern part of the reading-room collection - the ICT eqipmment, namely e-reader, tablet computers, and i-blackboard. To achieve learning goals and for appropriate use of the materials it is important that the pupils know various types of materials, and distinguish them according to purpose. It is very reccomendable to prepare the criteria to identify which library materials should be put in the reading-room collection</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen članka je predstaviti čitalnico, pomembnost uporabe le-te in čitalniškega gradiva pri pouku in drugem delu učencev. Predstavljeni so čitalniško gradivo in njegova fizična ureditev ter dostopnost. Opisan je primer dela oz. pouka v šolskem letu, ko smo po celotni vertikali (v vseh razredih) izvedli po eno uro knjižničnega informacijskega znanja (KIZ) v čitalnici. Na kratko je omenjen tudi sodobni del čitalniške zbirke - IKT-oprema, saj je v knjižnici poleg e-bralnika in računalniških tablic tudi i-tabla. Za doseganje ciljev in pravilno uporabo gradiva je pomembno, da učenci poznajo različne vrste informacijskih virov in ločijo gradivo po namenu.
