The need to study media changes in the national context is emphasised and characteristics of the Slovenian television environment are highlighted. The analysis shows that audience fragmentation in the Slovenian context is still very limited but, due to the increased competition, the most popular (commercial) programmes focus on established genres and formats for female viewers"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V članku analiziramo podatke o gledanosti treh slovenskih televizijskih programov (POP TV, TV Slovenija 1 in Planet TV) v izbranem dvotedenskem obdobju ter problematiziramo nekatere zelo pogoste predpostavke o spremembah, povezanih s televizijo in njenim občinstvom, kot je, recimo, predpostavka o izrazitem padcu gledanosti televizije na račun novih medijev. Izpostavljamo tudi nujo po upoštevanju nacionalnega konteksta, saj pokažemo posebnosti slovenskega televizijskega okolja.
