The aim of the present study was to find out how many urodynamic studies were performed at the University Rehabilitation Institute (URI) in Ljubljana in 2011 and 2012, and to assess the role of nursing in the urodynamics unit. Methods: A review of all the urodynamic examinations performed at the URI from 1 November 2010 to 31 October 2012 was performed. The diagnoses and types of urodynamic examinations were recorded. Results: In the studied period, 273 urodynamic examinations were performed. The most frequent patients were those after spinal cord injury, followed by patients with peripheral nerve lesion in the lower sacral segments and patients with multiple sclerosis. Filling cistometry was the most frequently performed type of urodynamic examination. Conclusions: The number of the urodynamic studies at the URI is rising. That shows how important they are for patients with neurogenic bladder. The work of a nurse in the urodynamic unit is very specific, oriented towards each individual patient, and adapted to the patients with movement disabilities"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izhodišča: Z urodinamsko preiskavo pregledujemo in ocenjujemo sposobnost spodnjih sečil za zbiranje, odvajanje in preprečevanje nenadziranega odtekanja urina. Želeli smo ugotoviti, koliko urodinamskih preiskav smo izvedli v letih 2011 in 2012 ter kakšna je vloga zdravstvene nege v urodinamskem laboratoriju. Metode: Pregledali smo zdravstveno dokumentacijo in ugotovitve vseh urodinamskih preiskav, ki smo jih na URI-Soča naredili od 1. novembra 2010 do 31. oktobra 2012. Zapisali smo vrste urodinamskih preiskav ter diagnoze bolnikov. Rezultati: V navedenem obdobju smo skupno naredili 273 urodinamskih preiskav. Največ je bilo bolnikov z okvaro hrbtenjače, nato pa bolnikov z okvaro perifernega živčevja v spodnjih križnih segmentih ter bolnikov z multiplo sklerozo. Od preiskav smo najpogosteje naredili polnilno cistometrijo. Zaključki: Število urodinamskih preiskav na URI-Soča se vsako leto povečuje, kar kaže, kako pomembne so te preiskave pri bolnikih z okvarami živčevja.
