Exploring the Exterritory Project (2009–ongoing) by artists Maayan Amir and Ruti Sela as both a material and immaterial site for rethinking the threads between ecology and performance while sailing through international waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the juridical voids they constitute, the article questions the urgency of reconceptualising modes of worlding beyond terrestrial-based frameworks. Drawing on blue humanities and anarchist studies, the article brings these fields together around the concept of extraterritoriality and proposes the concept of pirate dramaturgy as both an epistemic category and an operational tool – an engaged mode of looking at performances that navigate the margins of the legal– juridical as well as the edges of forms of representation. Through close analysis of Amir and Sela’s interventions in extraterritorial waters, the contribution examines how maritime zones of legal ambiguity become dramaturgical sites for alternative modes of thinking and performing ecological–political practices, while foregrounding the radical potential of extraterritoriality to engage with the oceanic turn in performance studies</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Prispevek izhaja iz okvirja, da sta tako piratstvo kot dramaturgija prispevala k oblikovanju in preoblikovanju kolektivnega imaginarija, zato predlaga pojem »piratske dramaturgije« kot vmrežen način mišljenja s prakticiranjem radikalnih ekologij (in alternativnega ustvarjanja sveta). Pri tem poudarja radikalni potencial, ki ga ima ekstrateritorialnost za prispevek k modremu obratu (angl. blue turn – op. prev.) v uprizoritvenih študijih</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-1KBZJ2C9"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-1KBZJ2C9" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-1KBZJ2C9/7c5a65f5-a3f4-486f-97c9-57dc32763a7b/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovenski gledališki inštitut (SLOGI)</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-1KBZJ2C9/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-1KBZJ2C9" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
