Electroporation is suitable to prepare products for advanced therapies. Electroporation is achieved when we expose cells to short, high-voltage electric pulses that cause temporary, reversible, or permanent, irreversible permeabilization of the cell membrane. Reversible electroporation is used for electrochemotheraphy, gene electrotransfection and for electrofusion. Irreversible electroporation is used for non-thermal tissue ablation and for extraction of the cellular contents. For successful use of electroporation, we need to understand the mechanisms and parameters that affect the outcome. For the development of advance therapy medicinal products reversible electroporation can be used for gene, cell and tissue therapy and for cell vaccines based on immuno-hybridoma. Irreversible electroporation is suitable for the preparation of biocompatible supports in tissue therapy"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Napredek znanosti na področju biomedicine omogoča razvoj zdravil za napredno zdravljenje z gensko, celično in tkivno terapijo, ki temelji na vnosu rekombinantnih genov, uporabi modificiranih somatskih celic ali pa je namenjena obnovi, nadomestitvi ali regeneraciji tkiva. Za pripravo izdelkov za napredne terapije lahko uporabimo elektroporacijo, ki jo dosežemo tako, da celice izpostavimo kratkim visokonapetostnim električnim pulzom. Rezultat elektroporacije je začasna reverzibilna ali trajna ireverzibilna permeabilizacija celične membrane. Reverzibilno elektroporacijo uporabljamo za elektrokemoterapijo, gensko elektrotransfekcijo in za elektrofuzijo celic. Ireverzibilno elektroporacijo pa uporabljamo za netermalno ablacijo tkiv in odstranjevanje celične vsebine. Za uspešno uporabo elektro poracije je potrebno poznati osnovne mehanizme elektroporacije in ključne parametre, ki določajo uspešnost metode. Zdravila za napredno zdravljenje lahko pripravimo z reverzibilno elektroporacijo, ki jo uporabimo za gensko, celično in tkivno terapijo ter za pripravo nekaterih celičnih cepiv na osnovi imunohibridomov, ki jih pripravimo z elektrofuzijo.
