The most important terminological principle is the principle of consistency, according to which the preferred term is the term that is most commonly used in professional texts. Another important principle is terminological economy, according to which the preferred term is the term that is shorter. The third principle is linguistic adequacy, which means that the term must be in accordance with the linguistic system of the language as a whole. Furthermore, the principle of linguistic culture, according to which priority is given to terms of domestic origin, is also important. Since terminological principles are not intended to be used mechanically, it is always necessary to consider which terminological principle is prioritized in a particular case"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek predstavlja najpomembnejša terminološka načela in njihovo upoštevanje pri izdelavi terminoloških slovarjev, ki nastajajo na podlagi pojmovnega pristopa. Najpomembnejše terminološko načelo je načelo ustaljenosti, po katerem ima prednost termin, ki se v strokovnih besedilih najpogosteje uporablja; drugo pomembno terminološko načelo je načelo gospodarnosti, po katerem imajo prednost krajši termini; tretje terminološko načelo je načelo jezikovnosistemske ustreznosti, kar pomeni, da mora biti termin praviloma v skladu z jezikovnim sistemom jezika kot celote. Pomembno je tudi jezikovnokulturno načelo, po katerem imajo prednost termini domačega izvora.
