Tajsi's character is analyzed with the help of Girard's concept of the model of desire. Tajsi orients professor's desire and sets an example of the desired identity (ideal ego). The professor is becoming more and more like Tajsi, and there are moments in the novel where he appears as possessed by Tajsi since he begins to speak and act like him. This is one aspect of transformation into the admired model. The mechanics of the second aspect can be understood with the help of Žižek's reading of Lacan; becoming (like) the other also means taking the other's place in the relationship structure, thus enacting symbolic identification. Doing this, the subject should realize that a full being which is not lacking does not exist</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek s pomočjo Girardove teorije mimetične želje analizira osrednji odnos v romanu Vitomila Zupana Potovanje na konec pomladi, in sicer med profesorjem slovenščine in njegovim občudovanim dijakom Tajsijem. Transformacija v občudovani model pa naj bi v končni fazi subjektu prinesla spoznanje, da polno bitje brez manka ne obstaja</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-14GIQROS"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-14GIQROS" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-14GIQROS/cbe5dc0e-7848-40fd-b419-992a46a1f650/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko društvo za primerjalno književnost</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-14GIQROS/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-14GIQROS" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
