Systematic development and upgrading of the necessary project qualification skills of individuals is a process, whose implementation is in the interest of project managers and project team members, as well as the organizations within which projects are being implemented and organizations that conduct and execution of projects procured in this specialized organizations. Also, the estimation of project manager's qualification, implemented in the form of certification, is a process whose purpose and effect are much greater than obtained from the certificate itself. Slovenia is in the field of certification of project managers - especially from the aspect of number of certificates - much under the average of the EU economically developed countries. This cognition on one hand probably indicates a lower average qualification of project staff, and so partly explains the lower success in the realization of the projects in Slovenia in comparison with data from foreign analysis, and on the other hand, provides guidelines for further development of companies, individuals and the regulatory state institutions"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Ustrezna usposobljenost projektnih managerjev in članov projektnih timov je eden od ključnih elementov za zagotavljanje učinkovite izvedbe projektov ter celovite uspešnosti projektov. Sistematična izgradnja in nadgrajevanje potrebne projektne usposobljenosti posameznikov je proces, katerega izvajanje je tako v interesu projektnih managerjev in članov projektnih timov, kot tudi organizacij, znotraj katerih se projekti izvajajo ter organizacij, ki vodenje in izvedbo projektov naročajo pri za to specializiranih organizacijah. Tudi presojanje projektne usposobljenosti, ki se izvaja v obliki certificiranja, je proces, katerega namen in učinki so bistveno večji, kot izhajajo iz samega pridobljenega certifikata. V Sloveniji smo na področju certificiranja projektnih managerjev še precej za povprečjem v gospodarsko razvitejših državah EU.
