It joined the Jugoslav state, which was formed in 1918, on the basis of the extraordinary effort on the part of the Slovenian members of the delegation of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes at the peace conference in Paris (1919-1920). That Slovenian diplomatic and political success is one of the bases of the territorial integrity of the Slovenian republic. The integration of Prekmurje in the Slovenian national consciousness was also demonstrated clearly in the final month of the Second World War. On 8 April it was visited by a delegation of the Slovenian National Liberation Council, and it was led by Josip Rus. The delegation spent a month building the structures of the new authority and did a lot of work. It organized a security service, set up courts and helped with the administration of education and increased the number of political workers. The new authority was also set up in the economy. They also mobilized all defence forces in Prekmurje. On that basis the Prekmurje brigade was formed on 7 May 1945. The delegation did its job well and with the help of local political workers, representatives of the new government and work of the members of the national liberation army, contributed to the administrative, political and organisational re-joining of Prekmurje to the rest of Slovenia and Yugoslavia after four years of Hungarian occupation"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prekmurje je v procesu slovenskih narodnoemancipacij imelo vidno mesto. K jugoslovanski državi, oblikovani leta 1918, je bilo priključeno na podlagi izjemnega prizadevanja slovenskih članov delegacije Kraljestva Srbov, Hrvatov in Slovencev na mirovni konferenci v Parizu 1919-1920. Tedanji slovenski diplomatsko-politični uspeh pomeni enega od zgodovinskih temeljev ozemeljske celovitosti Republike Slovenije. Vpetost Prekmurja v vseslovensko zavest se je dobro pokazala tudi v zadnjem mesecu druge svetovne vojne. 8. aprila 1945 ga je obiskala delegacija Slovenskega narodnoosvobodilnega sveta, ki jo je vodil Josip Rus. Delegacija je v mesecu dni opravila veliko delo pri graditvi nove oblasti. Organizirala je varnostno službo, vzpostavila sodstvo, pomagala pri urejanju šolstva in okrepila vrste političnih delavcev. Novo oblast je vzpostavila tudi na gospodarskem področju. Poleg tega je izvedla mobilizacijo vseh obrambnih sil Prekmurja. Na tej podlagi so 7. maja 1945 oblikovali Prekmursko brigado. Delegacija SNOS je svoje delo končala 8. maja 1945.
