Jurčič, Deseti brat) until the first novel dealing with socio-political issues (J. Kersnik, Agitator). The typological analysis of the literary genre, concerned in particular with the stylistic formation, has shown that during the period in question the Slovene novel wa s both in the morphological and in the antropological respects highly varied and large-scale as that it rose to unexpected prominenceSlovenski roman v dvajsetletju 1866 -1885, tj. od prvega predstavnika zvrsti (Jurčič, Deseti brat) do prvega značilnega romana z družbenopolitično tematiko (Kersnik, Agitator).
