Članek vključuje kratek pregled objav, ki definirajo pojem arboristike in različne profile arboristov. Razprava se osredotoči na pojmovanje arborista - negovalca dreves na višini in izvedbo nege ter sanacije dreves na višini. Zbrane informacije opisujejo vzroke in vrste poškodb dreves v urbanem okolju ter predstavijo priporočila pri obžagovanju dreves ter primeren čas rezi glede na starostno obdobje dreves in koledarski čas.
