Heritage languages face the impact of globalization, and the task of language planning is to support the language with na-tional politics and ideology at the local level. Language planning requires a thoughtful effort to influence the language behavior of users so that they will be motivated to learn the heritage language, especially in identifying with the culture of their ancestral country. Language planning is implemented on several levels. At the macro level, language planning refers to legislation prescribed by the government and state institutions in the host country. The article presents the method of managing the use of the Slovene language at the level of the Slovene community in Toronto and presents language planning primarily at the micro level, which is essential for smaller immigrant communities</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Jezikovna politika 21. stoletja se spoprijema z izzivom vse intenzivnejšega sobivanja lokalnih in globalnih etničnih priseljenskih skupnosti. Članek prikazuje način upravljanja rabe slovenskega jezika na ravni slovenske skupnosti v Torontu in predstavlja jezikovno načrtovanje predvsem na mikro ravni, ki je za manjše priseljenske skupnosti bistveno</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-08PZ6JZZ"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-08PZ6JZZ" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-08PZ6JZZ/f2b77993-20ae-492b-8f5c-8fdcdbd66756/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slavistično društvo Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-08PZ6JZZ/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-08PZ6JZZ" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
