Results show that in fiction boys like to read crime stories, and even more adventure stories. Below expectations was reading of learning contents. The choice of reading is most often influenced by recommendations of friends, even though the topic of what is being read is not common among boys. The survey also confirmed the everyday observation in the library that boys in secondary school mostly read home reading books, which is not self-motivated choice. The results are useful for the school library in collection-building activities"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku so obravnavane bralne navade fantov na Šolskem centru v Novem mestu. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, kakšne so njihove bralne navade. Rezultati so pokazali, da fantje pri leposlovju radi posegajo po kriminalnem žanru, vendar so na prvem mestu pustolovske zgodbe. Pod pričakovanji berejo poučne vsebine. Največkrat so jim pri izbiri za prostočasno branje v pomoč priporočila prijateljev, čeprav prebrane knjige niso ravno pogosta tema pogovorov med fanti. Analiza vprašalnikov je potrdila tudi opažanja iz vsakdanje prakse, da fantje v srednji šoli berejo predvsem knjige, ki so za domače branje.
