During a translation, which enables a text its transfer and expansion over the borders of the language group of the original, some changes and planned textual redactions occur. They enable its operation in a different language and other different cultural circumstances. Therefore translating is understood as an intercultural mediation of literature. It is important to be aware of a special character of the intercultural perspective. In order to fully and critically experience it, a reader is often asked to face the characteristics of two cultures. The ignorance of the very perspective may cause (especially to young readers) a cultural hybridisation. Huckleberry Finn is one of those classic American novels which when translated into any foreign language loses nearly all of itscharacteristics, for which it is claimed to be one of three greatest novels of the 19th century. No other language has that socio-dialect of the blacks through which we may perceive Jim's human depth and Huck's moving awareness. The use of the standard/literary language simplifies the text to such extent that numerous translations cause its social differences. The novel for all categories of readers thus becomes a children's adventurous story for 12 and 14-year-old readers. That is why the reading and interpretation of that text raises another question: how to unveil, especially to young readers, at least a part of its outstanding human depth. Such deepening is enabled by Huck's innocent perspective of a child or his peculiar verbal behaviour</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-046L1I5N"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-046L1I5N" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-046L1I5N/9e3bd142-bd87-4bf6-b8bd-017919164412/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Mariborska knjižnica</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-046L1I5N/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-046L1I5N" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
