Drawing on previously unexplored archival sources, it reassesses their importance as patrons of the arts and attempts to recon-struct the formation and transmission of the celebrated painting gallery at Frischau Manor. Contrary to the prevailing view, Maria Elisabeth probably did not inherit the gallery from father, Johann Adam Andreas of Liechtenstein. The available evidence instead identifies her first husband, Maximilian Jakob Moritz of Liechtenstein, as a key figure in its formation. The study also demonstrates how marriage, inheritance, estate management, and religious patronage distributed the family’s property and cultural legacy among several Central European princely houses. By bringing to light new evidence concerning the family’s genealogy, residences, marriages, and inheritances, the article also highlights the active role of aristocratic women in collecting, patronage, and the preservation of dynastic memory during the eighteenth century</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku avtorica obravnava življenje, umetnostno naročništvo in zbirateljske dejavnosti Leopolda, vojvode Schle-swig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Wiesenburga, njegove žene Marije Elizabete, rojene princese Liechtenstein, ter njunih štirih hčera. S predstavitvijo novih podatkov o družinski genealogiji, rezidencah, porokah in dedovanjih je poudarjena tudi aktivna vloga predstavnic visokega plemstva pri zbiranju, naročništvu in ohranjanju dinastičnega spomina v 18. stoletju</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-02WFNXQN"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-02WFNXQN" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-02WFNXQN/ea37de92-d0b6-42c3-b5fc-13989a7b31c6/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">ZRC SAZU, Umetnostnozgodovinski inštitut Franceta Steleta</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-02WFNXQN/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-02WFNXQN" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
