In the ten-year period, the department and sub-departments for forest management planning have succeeded in creating conditions for a regular elaboration of forest management plans of forest management units; also a second, thoroughly improved map of forest functions was compiled and ten-year forest management plans for forest management regions were adopted for the period 2001 to 2010. In addition, planners cooperated in several projects, such as the elaboration of expert materials for the Spatial plan of Slovenia, cooperation in defining the forest border inthe project \"Land use\" of the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and food, and cooperation in selecting forest habitats for NATURA 2000, as well as in some international projects. Today, the Slovenian Forest Service takes an active part in compiling amendments to the Regulation on forest management andsilvicultural plans. The emphasis of future planned activities is on improving the usefulness of forestry databases, in strengthening cooperation in spatial planning, and in extending international cooperation in the field of forest management planning"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Gozdnogospodarsko načrtovanje na Zavodu za gozdove Slovenije je leta 1994 prevzelo sledeče naloge: izdelava gozdnogospodarskih načrtov gozdnogospodarskih enot in območij (tudi gozdnih inventur, vzdrževanje oddelčnih in odsečnih mej ter kartiranja funkcij gozdov), presoja posegov v gozd in gozdni prostor ter koordinacija razvojnih in raziskovalnih nalog. V desetletnem obdobju je oddelku in odsekom za gozdnogospodarsko načrtovanje uspelo ustvariti pogoje za redno izdelavo gozdnogospodarskih načrtov gospodarskih enot, izdelana je bila v primerjavi s prvo zelo izpopolnjena karta funkcij gozdov ter sprejeti desetletni gozdnogospodarski načrti gozdnogospodarskih območij za obdobje 2001 do 2010. Ob tem so načrtovalci sodelovali pri številnih projektih, kot so izdelava strokovnih podlag za Prostorski plan Slovenije, sodelovanje pri določevanju gozdnega roba pri projektu MKGP Raba zemljišč, sodelovanje pri izločanju gozdnih habitatnih tipov za NATURO 2000 ter pri nekaterih mednarodnih projektih. Danes aktivno sodelujemo pri izdelavi dopolnitev Pravilnika o gozdnogospodarskih in gozdnogojitvenih načrtih.
