treh kongresov Svete alianse. Za potrebe kongresa in mimohodne slovesnosti so obstoječi Kapucinski trg razširili in preuredili na prostoru podrtega kapucinskega samostana z vrtovi; posledično so po kongresu tudi preimenovali trg v Kongresni trg. Mesto se je lotilo številnih obnovitvenih del. Tlakovanje trgov in ulic, urejanje kanalizacije, ureditev razsvetljave, obnova gledališča, plesne dvorane ter razširitev poštnih zmogljivosti so bile naloge, ki so se opravile še pred začetkom kongresa. Takrat se je glavno mesto Kranjske za dobre štiri mesece spremenilo v središče evropske politike. Sveta aliansa se je sestala zaradi revolucijskih nemirov, ki so sledili obdobju po Napoleonu. Poleg kronanih glav Evrope in diplomatov so na svoj račun prišli prebivalci Ljubljane. Vrstili so se plesi, gledališke predstave, ognjemeti, mimohodi, s katerimi je Ljubljana zaživela.&nbsp;</div><div>Parkovne površine (Park Zvezda) so uredili leta 1824 po naročilu župana Hradeckega, ko so zasadili drevored. To je bil prvi javni mestni park. Sedanjo ureditev s platanami je predlagal Jože Plečnik pred drugo svetovno vojno.
