The activity targets mathematics teachers who wish to incorporate basic computer science and informatics into their teaching. The research focuses on the use of calculators and interactive methods to enhance the learning of mathematical concepts, particularly in teaching the algorithm for multiplying and dividing decimal numbers by powers of 10. Pupils actively participated in the learning process, which was not based solely on traditional teaching methods but encouraged exploration, group work, and the use of various learning strategies. In the process, pupils learned the algorithm and applied it to specific tasks. A didactic game was also used to reinforce the understanding of the algorithm. Pupils’ progress was monitored using a Kahoot quiz, which provided immediate feedback. The results showed that most pupils successfully solved the tasks, but we discovered that further consolidation was needed in converting length measurement units. The research showed that incorporating basic computer science and informatics content contributes to a better understanding of mathematics but requires adjustments in teaching methods and additional focus on specific mathematical topics. The approach improves mathematical understanding, enhances basic computer science and informatics knowledge, and encourages cooperation and the development of social skillsV prispevku predstavljamo uvajanje temeljnih vsebin računalništva in informatike (RIN) pri pouku matematike v 6. razredu osnovne šole. Dejavnost je namenjena učiteljem matematike, ki želijo vključiti RIN v svoje učne ure. Raziskava se osredotoča na uporabo računala in interaktivnih metod za učinkovitejše učenje matematičnih konceptov, zlasti pri učenju algoritma za množenje in deljenje decimalnih števil s potencami števila 10. Učenci so aktivno sodelovali pri oblikovanju učnega procesa, ki ni temeljil zgolj na frontalnem poučevanju, temveč je spodbujal raziskovanje, sodelovanje v skupinah in uporabo različnih učnih strategij. V procesu so učenci spoznali algoritem ter ga prenesli v konkretne naloge. Uporabljena je bila tudi didaktična igra za utrjevanje razumevanja algoritma. Napredek učencev smo spremljali tudi s kvizom v orodju Kahoot, ki je omogočil takojšnjo povratno informacijo. Rezultati so pokazali, da je večina učencev uspešno rešila naloge, vendar smo ugotovili, da je potrebno dodatno utrditi znanje pretvarjanja dolžinskih merskih enot. Raziskava je pokazala, da vključevanje RIN vsebin pripomore k boljšemu razumevanju matematike, vendar zahteva prilagoditev učnih metod in dodatno pozornost pri specifičnih matematičnih vsebinah.
