Through training process dancers perform many repetative movements in great range of motion and thus strong forces are transfered especially to low back and lower limbs, therefore musculoskeletal injuries often occur in these body parts. More frequent execution of dance movements to the right side of the body and preference for using one leg to perform primarly balance tasks and the other one to perform dance-specific movements are factors that can lead to the asymmetries and/or musculoskeletal injuries incidence. By reviewing the literature in the field the aim of this paper was to provide key findings on musculoskeletal injuries and body asymmetries in dancers in order to raise awareness of their importance. Studies to date shown a relationship between body asymmetries and musculoskeletal injuries, but it is not yet clear what the cause-effect relationship between these two is and weather some body asymmetries are more common for dancers of certain dance style. For future studies a comprehensive evaluation of movement abilities and physical performance is recommended to enable dancers (and other athletes) more effective and safe sport engagement"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Uspešna izvedba plesnih gibov od plesalcev zahteva visoko razvite gibalne sposobnosti, kot so statično in dinamično ravnotežje, dobra gibljivost posameznih sklepov ter jakost in moč mišic, vzdržljivost, koordinacija in preciznost pri izvedbi. Ker plesalci v trenažnem procesu izvajajo veliko ponavljajočih se - z vidika obsega ekstremnih - gibov in tako prenašajo močne sile predvsem na spodnje ude in hrbtenico, se pogosto pojavijo mišično-skeletne poškodbe prav teh predelov telesa. Pogostejša izvedba plesnih gibov na desno stran telesa in preferenca uporabe ene noge za izvedbo pretežno ravnotežnih nalog ter drugega spodnjega uda za izvedbo plesno specifičnih gibov so dejavniki, ki lahko vodijo k nastanku telesnih asimetrij in/ali mišično-skeletnih poškodb. Namen tega dela je bil s pregledom literature na področju plesa podati ključne izsledke o mišično-skeletnih poškodbah in telesnih asimetrijah pri plesalcih s ciljem ozaveščanja o njihovem pomenu. Dosedanje študije na tem področju kažejo povezanost med telesnimi asimetrijami in mišično-skeletnimi poškodbami, a ni še povsem jasno, kakšna je vzročno-posledična zveza med le-tema in ali določene plesne zvrsti spodbujajo razvoj nekaterih telesnih asimetrij bolj kot druge. Zato v prihodnosti priporočamo celostno vrednotenje telesnih zmogljivosti in gibalnih sposobnosti, da bi lahko plesalcem (in drugim športnikom) omogočili učinkovitejše in varnejše športno udejstvovanje"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"znanstveno časopisje"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"journals"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-YQ7SU6MY","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:DOC-YQ7SU6MY"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-YQ7SU6MY/41b6c1b7-8bc2-40ac-a6d3-516419bc23b7/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za šport"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-YQ7SU6MY/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-YQ7SU6MY"}}}}
