Methods: The study conducted in 2007included 30 managers divided into the experimenCal and control group according to their activities within the health promotion programme at a workplace. A parallel control broup was composed of the organizations of the Slovenian Foundation fior Business Excellence. A questionnaire was used to collect data on the variables of working conditions, workplace health promotion, health responsibility and motivation for improved employee health. Pearson's chisquare and factorial ANOVA were used in the analysis of the data collected. Statistical significance was set at p <_ 0,05. Results: According to the results of the comparative study, the Slovenian Foundation for BusinessExcellence group addresses and answers the health needs of their employees extremely well and also statistical ly better than the experimental and the control groups. Statistically significant differences were identified in availability of healthy food in automatic machines, safe bicycles and rollers storage and worksite health promotion programmes. The Slovenian Foundation for Business Excellence implemented the greatest number of health promotion measures along with the activities enhancinb their employees' healthy lifestyle. However, it remains Icast interested in professionally run health promotion programmes. The respondents from all three groups believe that health is a personal responsibility. Zaključek: Aktivnosti delovne organizacije v podpori zdravja zaposlenih verjetno niso posledica programa promocije zdravja, kakor je bilo predpostavljeno, temveč rezultat organizacijske kulture in odnosa menedžerjev do zdravja zaposlenih</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-XFROLBZN"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-XFROLBZN" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-XFROLBZN/4d9e2ee9-cd1b-4ead-a351-eaedde798779/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Zbornica zdravstvene in babiške nege Slovenije - Zveza strokovnih društev medicinskih sester, babic in zdravstvenih tehnikov Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-XFROLBZN/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-XFROLBZN" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
