In current social sciences, it largely refers to the relations among ethnoreligious communities, conceived as a legacy of the Ottoman millet system. In anthropology, which studies the komšiluk in a more detailed way than most of other social sciences, the debate on the "capability" or the "nature" of the komšiluk has developed: Can the komšiluk oppose an efficient barrier against the projects of ethnic cleansing? Can it be efficient as a means of revitalizing the social fabric in multiethnic settings, etc.? This debate is motivated by wider theoretical issues as well as by entirely practical concerns regarding the management of the postconflict society. This article aims at contributing to the current debate with analyzing the background of the uses of the komšiluk notion in Yugoslav ethnology and its neighboring disciplines, and with articulating these "domestic" usages with those of foreign anthropologists and political scientists</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Pojem komšiluka (soseska, sosedstvo), ki se je uveljavil zlasti v kontekstu pojasnjevanja etničnega nasilja ob razpadu Jugoslavije pa tudi širše na Balkanu, se v današnjem družboslovju pretežno nanaša na razmerja med etnoreligioznimi skupnostmi v etnično ali konfesionalno mešanih okoljih, in ta so pretezno razumljena kot dediščina osmanskega miletskega sistema. Pričujoči članek prispeva k potekajoči diskusiji o komšiluku predvsem tako, da analizira ozadja rab pojma komšiluka v jugoslovanski etnologiji in sorodnih vedah in da te "domače" rabe pojma artikulira z rabami "tujih" antropologov in politologov</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Beseda o avtorju = About the author</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-WCTHVB0V"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-WCTHVB0V" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-WCTHVB0V/29a8463a-0ced-4f27-aeb6-9470f716ca3d/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovenski etnografski muzej</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-WCTHVB0V/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-WCTHVB0V" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
