The new method, which is based on the hydrothermal preparation of ferrite powders with a hydrothermal treatment of the usual starting oxides, results in powders with a similar phase composition to that of calcined powder. The hydrothermal preparation of the ferrite powders demanded an adaptation of the whole technological process of ferrite production. The advantage of the hydrothermal method, when compared to classic ceramic technology, is mainly in the reduced energy consumption related to the low processing temperatures (260-320 compositumC) and times. The hydrothermally synthesized powders have great potential when it comes to the preparation of MnZn ferrites with improved magnetic properties</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku poročamo o rezultatih raziskovalnega dela v okviru sodelovanja med Institutom "Jožef Stefan" in tovarno ISKRA Feriti, d.o.o., v katerem smo razvili nov postopek za masovno pripravo MnZn-feritov, ki temelji na pripravi feritnih prahov s hidrotermalno obdelavo izhodnih oksidov. Z omenjeno metodo smo dobili feritne prahove, ki so po fazni sestavo podobni tistim, pripravljenim po klasičnem keramičnem postopku. Priprava prahov po hidrotermalni metodi je zahtevala prilagoditev celotnega tehnološkega procesa priprave feritov.
