Zaradi velikih investicijskih stroškov za novo peč in prostorskih težav z rekonstrukcijo sedanje izvedbe ni bilo večjih sprememb konstrukcije peči. Izvedena je bila samo rekonstrukcija merilno-regulacijske opreme. Prvi del kontrolnih meritev je bil izveden v sodelovanju z vodstvom obrata pred remontom peči in rekonstrukcijo merilno-regulacijske opreme peči, drugi, obsežnejši del pa po izvedeni rekonstrukciji.
