Different plant descriptors were used to evaluate the collection of genetic resources of common (Fagopyrum esculentum) and Tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum). Using predefined descriptors (IPGRI, UPOV) for Fagopyrum spp. and photographic material, a total of 239 genetic resources of buckwheat were characterized and described for the first time.
