Documentation is viewed as an information model for organizing and managing processes. Dokumentacija predstavlja informacijski model, ki je namenjen organiziranju oin uporavljanju procesov. Na osnovi informacij zbranih z ocenjevanjem zdravstvenega stanja pacienta oziroma stanja razmer v družini, medicinska sestra načrtuje proces zdravstvene nege.
