Since the ideological cleansing in 1952, even in the vicinity of representative churches, including the cathedral, there are no names after their patron saints, and the vast majority of other names related to the Church and religion have also been abolished. The article aims to determine what has happened to Ljubljana's non-sacred toponymy of ecclesiastical and religious origin from the city's founding until today. Over the centuries, the people of Ljubljana have named individual areas, squares, streets and roads after churches, chapels and monasteries, often (occasionally) descriptively. This practice in Slovenian and German, in which practically everything was written until the mid-19th century, lasted until the beginning of the 19th century, when the city magistrate determined permanent street names, then only in German. While toponymy had previously been decided spontaneously by popular vote and only a little by written tradition (in German), the city authorities later took over the main role, and the names of squares, roads and streets became and remain a matter of politics to this day. Some of the new names for old locations were not accepted by the people or were only established with difficulty, but unofficial use could no longer influence the official nomenclature as before"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Ljubljana je v primerjavi z drugimi evropskimi prestolnicami posebna po svoji toponimiki – imenih trgov, cest, ulic, vse do (ne)vidnih mikrotoponimov. Od ideološkega očiščenja leta 1952 dalje niti v okolici reprezentativnih cerkva – vključno s stolnico – ni poimenovanj po njihovih patrocinijih, odpravljena pa je bila tudi velika večina drugih s Cerkvijo in vero povezanih nazivov. Prispevek je namenjen ugotavljanju, kaj se je od nastanka mesta do danes dogajalo z ljubljansko nesakralno toponimiko cerkvenega in verskega izvora. Skozi stoletja so Ljubljančani po cerkvah, kapelah in samostanih poimenovali posamezna območja, trge, ulice in ceste, pogosto (priložnostno) opisno. Takšna praksa je v slovenščini in nemščini – ta je bila do sredine 19. stoletja pisni uradovalni jezik in v njej se je pisalo praktično vse – trajala nekako do začetka 19. stoletja, ko je mestni magistrat določil stalna ulična imena, tedaj samo nemška. Medtem ko je o toponimiki dotlej spontano odločal ljudski glas in le malo zapisovalska tradicija (v nemščini), je poslej glavno vlogo prevzela mestna oblast –imena trgov, cest in ulic pa so postala in do danes ostala politikum. Nekaterih novih poimenovanj za stare lokacije ljudstvo sicer ni sprejemalo ali so se uveljavljala le stežka, vendar neuradna raba na uradno nomenklaturo ni mogla več vplivati tako kot prej"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"znanstveno časopisje"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"journals"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-TYBV1RAH","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:DOC-TYBV1RAH"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-TYBV1RAH/5d1bba31-29b7-455a-97b0-623fc14770ee/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Univerza v Ljubljani, Teološka fakulteta"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-TYBV1RAH/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-TYBV1RAH"}}}}
