The primary aim of the consultation was to present the results of the researches performed by the Department for Forest Techniques and Economics, above all from the field of forest works, cost optimization, and wood fuels. In the framework of the consultation also a survey, intended for finding out the present opinion of the participants on the current themes from the field of forestry, raw materials, and wood fuels market, was carried out. This article presents the results of the survey and comparison with the results of a similar survey, performed in 2014Na Gozdarskem inštitutu Slovenije je v marcu potekal posvet Izzivi gozdne tehnike 2016, ki se ga je udeležilo več kot sto udeležencev iz različnih področij gozdarstva in predelave lesa. Primarni namen posveta je bil predstaviti rezultate raziskav Oddelka za gozdno tehniko in ekonomiko predvsem s področja gozdnih del, optimizacije stroškov in lesnih goriv. V okviru posveta je bila opravljena tudi anketa z namenom ugotavljanja trenutnega mnenja udeležencev o aktualnih temah s področja gozdarstva, surovine in trga z lesom ter lesnih goriv.
