Omogoča prenos podatkov med ponudniki in uporabniki ter ponuja podatkovni format za dolgoročno shranjevanje ter standardni format za elektronsko posredovano načrtovanje. LandXML omogoča opis prostorskih elementov, kot so cesta, parcela, model terena, ter njihove spremljajoče infrastrukture.
