The authors analyse those intelligence reports which pertained to reporting on the agency's own activities and could thus be described as assessments of the (un)successfulness in its surveillance of British diplomats, media, and citizens visiting Slovenia at the time, and the Slovenian/Yugoslav emigrants in Great Britain"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Nell'articolo viene presentano il punto di vista britannico riguardo al ruolo e all'ingerenza dell'Italia nella soluzione della cosiddetta questione carinziana 1918-1920. L'analisi si e basata su fonti primarie britanniche non pubblicate. Gli autori hanno studiato i rapporti tesi del dopoguerra tra l'Italia e il nuovo Regno dei serbi, croati e sloveni e tenendo conto di cio, hanno evidenziato il problema dei collegamenti ferroviari attraverso Trieste verso lEuropa centrale. Due linee internazionali su tre dovevano attraversare lattuale territorio sloveno (jugoslavo). L'Italia si e impegnata nell'utilizzare collegamenti fuori dal territorio jugoslavo, il che ha portato al suo sostegno all'Austria e alle sue aspirazioni territoriali. Inoltre, gli autori si sono concentrati sugli scontri militari avvenuti in Carinzia, dove le truppe italiane il 13 giugno 1919 ne occuparono una parte.
