In the application form, they can name up to three different study programs - named as wishes, choosing from several faculties and departments. In the Selection procedure that is carried out as a part of the admission process algorithm tries to put them on the first wish, for which they furfill all the qualifications. In this paper we introduce an idea how to help candidates to avoid consequences that arise from such a rashness, and to make wise decissions when selecting university programs"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Kandidati, ki se po srednji šoli odločijo za nadaljevanje študija, so postavljeni pred težko nalogo - odločiti se morajo o smeri za nadaljnji študij. Prijavni obrazec, s katerim se prijavijo, je zasnovan tako, da jim omogoča navesti do tri želje, to je do tri želene smeri študija, v sklopu Prijavnega postopka pa se jih skuša uvrstiti z najvišjo željo. Vendar izbira študijskih programov ni tako preprosta, kot se morda komu zdi. Le redki kandidati so namreč natanko odločeni, kam želijo, in zato izbirajo in navajajo študijske programe včasih popolnoma nepremišljeno ali celo naključno.Kaj kmalu se zato zgodi, da niso sprejeti na nobeno izmed želenih smeri. V prispevku predlagamo rešitev, ki kandidatom nudi ustrezno informacijsko podporo za tehtnejšo izbiro in navedbo študijskih smeri. Ideje, ki jih predstavljamo, so izvedljive v okviru obstoječega informacijskega sistema, ki nudi podporo celotnemu Prijavnemu postopku.
