We decided to digitize this type of documentation because, on one hand, it allows us to preserve the originals, and on the other hand enables users to have easier and remote access to reproductions. The paper describes the process of preparing the physical material for digitization, which was entrusted to an external provider, and finally, the procedures necessary for publishing digitized material in the Virtual Archival Reading Room are outlined"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku je predstavljena krajša zgodovina pisanja šolskih kronik, ki so eden najpomembnejših virov za preučevanje zgodovine razvoja šole in njene bližnje ter širše okolice. Za digitizacijo tovrstne dokumentacije smo se odločili, ker lahko na takšen način po eni strani zavarujemo originale, po drugi pa uporabnikom omogočimo preprostejši in oddaljen dostop do reprodukcij.
