Rhetoric as the art of public persuasion is closely linked with the development of formal speech in both civilizations. On the other hand, however, rhetoricćs own evolution into a theoretical discipline, which has become the foundation of classical education, provided conditions for successful intercultural communication between Greek and Roman culture as well. This circumstance can be seen especially in the period of early Roman republic, where the traits of Greek and Roman rhetoric already closely interweave, but at the same time they still show considerable amount of their own characteristics. At this point we could speak of the beginning of the formation of rhetoric as a joint communication means that originated with the two separate cultures but later evolved into a complex and coherent system of rules, and as a cultural phenomenon, which mastered all antiquity</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku bomo prikazali retoriko kot enega pomembnejših, morda celo ključnih dejavnikov v medkulturnem srečevanju starih Grkov in Rimljanov. V tej točki bi lahko govorili tudi o nastanku retorike kotskupnega komunikacijskega sredstva dveh kultur, ki se je kasneje razvilo v kompleksen in koherenten sistem pravil in kot družbeno kulturni fenomen obvladovalo vso antiko</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-NMKHQ6V0"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-NMKHQ6V0" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-NMKHQ6V0/0dbfd394-6987-42d7-9fee-f5f3689453b5/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko društvo raziskovalcev šolskega polja</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-NMKHQ6V0/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-NMKHQ6V0" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
