Composite materials with a hard SiC layer on the surface of the disc (C/C-SiC) or composites with the fibre-reinforced ceramic structure (C/SiC) need the right brake-lining materials. The results of our new-brake-lining-material investigation for C/C-SiC brake discs are presented. The influence of some particular additives in formulations on frictional and wear properties of carbonised brake lining were investigated. The frictional properties of the different pads were carried out in laboratory and under real conditions (a fast sports car). The investigations enabled us to optimise the carbonised lining formulation as well as to compare with the other types of pads, for instance, sinter-metallic and fibre reinforced ceramic (C/SiC.)</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V zadnjem času so postali zavorni diski iz C/C-kompozitov s površinsko infiltriranim silicijem oziroma z volumsko infiltriranim zelo zanimivi za uporabo v zavornih sistemih osebnih avtomobilov. Kompozitni materiali s površinsko plastjo SiC (C/C-SiC) ali materiali, pri katerih gre za volumsko razporeditvijo SiC (C/SiC), zahtevajo ustrezne torne materiale za zavorne obloge. V prispevku navajamo rezultate razvoja materialov za obloge primerne za C/C-SiC zavorne diske. Raziskali smo vpliv dodatkov na torne in obrabne lastnosti tornih materialov, najerenih s postopkom karbonizacije. Uporabili smo tako laboratorijski kot praktični način preskušanja v realnih razmerah.
