The Conference was held in Golf Hotel in Bled, from 14-18th June, 2017. The Conference attracted over 140 participants from 26 countries. The world renowned scientists in the field of the synthesis of new (hybrid)nanomaterials and their use in medicine, biotechnology, energy, environment, sensors and textiles provided information on the impact of nanomaterials & nanotechnologies on the environment as well as risks assessment, and management approaches in order to protect human health. For both the scientific and the industrial spheres the discussion Forum was offered. Plenary lectures were held by pioneers in the field of mesoporous and hybrid nanomaterials and their applications, and by the most important scientists in the field of target drug delivery. The latest research and advanced discoveries of nanomaterials and their applications was presented by a number of Slovenian leading scientists and industry. The Round Table %Women in Science% organized by SATENA opened the issue of women's representation in academic professions.
