Swingle) na Goriškem| Regeneration and spread of Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle) in the Goriška region|"},"dc:description":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle) is one of the most significant non-native invasive tree species in Slovenia. We studied how it regenerates and spreads into the natural environment in the Goriška region. We confirmed its diverse reproductive capability, since in the new environment it successfully reproduces both generatively and vegetatively. In the studied plots, due to the high density in both height classes up to 1.5 m, seedlings represented the most numerous type of regeneration (47 %), followed by root sprouts (41%) and stump sprouts (12 %); the latter are the most numerous in the height class above 1.5 m and probably play a major role in the regeneration of existing stands. The influence of rockiness and stoniness on the spreading success of tree of heaven from parent stands into the surroundings was statistically significant, while the effect of slope on spreading success was not confirmed. On spreading surfaces its share rises with overgrowing and reaches 25 % in the tree layer. In Slovenia tree of heaven will further expand mainly on abandoned farmland and various degraded habitats in the future. Considering its high reproductive capacity, the issue of the feasibility of his eradication, which is not successful, is all the more topical. The future role of tree of heaven will need to be reconsidered, and we will probably have to accept the fact that it has become a part of our natural environment"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Visoki pajesen (Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle) je ena najbolj značilnih tujerodnih invazivnih drevesnih vrst v Sloveniji. Z raziskavo smo proučevali načine njegovega pomlajevanja in razširjanja v naravnem okolju na Goriškem. Potrdili smo, da ima raznovrstno razmnoževalno sposobnost, saj se tudi v zanj novem okolju uspešno razmnožuje generativno in vegetativno. Na proučevanih ploskvah je zaradi velike gostote v obeh višinskih razredih do 1,5 m najštevilčnejši pomladek semenskega nastanka (47 %), sledijo mu poganjki iz korenin (41 %) in panjevski poganjki (12 %), ki postanejo najpogostejši v višinskem razredu več kot 1,5 m in imajo morda najpomembnejšo vlogo pri obnovi obstoječih sestojev. Skalovitost in kamnitost tal statistično značilno vplivata na uspešnost razširjanja visokega pajesena iz matičnih sestojev v okolico; vpliva naklona terena na uspešnost širjenja pa nismo potrdili. Na površinah, na katere se širi, se je njegov delež s preraščanjem v višje plasti večal in v drevesni plasti znašal že 25 %. V Sloveniji se bo v prihodnosti visoki pajesen širil predvsem na opuščenih kmetijskih površinah in na različnih degradiranih rastiščih. Ob njegovi veliki razmnoževalni sposobnosti je vse bolj aktualno vprašanje smiselnosti njegovega zatiranja, ki ni uspešno.
