In addition to the well-established use of secondary raw materials in cement production, increasing attention is being paid to the use of recycled aggregate as a partial or complete replacement for natural stone aggregate. Since recycled aggregate may originate from various industrial processes, it often contains impurities that affect the hydration processes of cement. This has been observed in recycled aggregate from the mining industry, where ore-bound heavy metals delay the cement matrix setting and slow down the strength development. In this study, recycled aggregate and its influence on the properties of cement composites were systematically characterized. We determined its mineralogical composition, monitored changes in ultrasonic pulse velocity and temperature during the setting and hardening of cement composites with different recycled aggregate contents, and measured the time-dependent development of compressive and flexural strength. Based on the analysis of the results, we identified the threshold concentration of recycled aggregate that is suitable for use in construction</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Zeleni prehod v gradbeništvu med drugim zahteva zmanjšanje ogljičnega odtisa betona, ki ostaja najbolj uporabljan gradbeni material na svetu. Na podlagi analize rezultatov smo opredelili mejno koncentracijo recikliranega agregata, ki je še primerna za uporabo v gradbeništvu</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-M78CS3Q3"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-M78CS3Q3" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-M78CS3Q3/2e4358b5-de5c-4852-9f5f-2bf7fdd9c065/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Zveza društev gradbenih inženirjev in tehnikov Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-M78CS3Q3/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-M78CS3Q3" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
