Non-wood forest products are grown on forest areas where we grow or gather natural or cultivated products for nourishment, medicinal, decorative and other purposes. The majority of non-wood forest products can beharvested directly in the forest; however, in some cases we can cultivate forest/agricultural area as an agroforestry system, i.e. a plantation. In Europe, the most common plantations are intended for production of non-wood products, plantations, intended for production of ectomycorrhizal fungi species (truffles, milk-caps and slippery Jacks). Examples of good practice ona global scale definitely include production of several Tuber species; in Slovenia, it is neither widespread nor adapted to the local conditions. The article presents examples of production of non-wood forest products, establishing and harvesting of plantations and possible obstacles we might encounter"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Vzporedne (nelesne) gozdne dobrine spadajo v sklop proizvodnih funkcij gozda, ki jih v Sloveniji in tudi širše vse prepogosto spregledamo ali pri ocenah vrednosti gozda ne upoštevamo. Nelesne gozdne dobrine gojimo na gozdnih površinah, na katerih pridelujemo ali nabiramo naravne ali gojene pridelke za prehrano, medicinske, dekorativne in druge namene. Večji del nelesnih gozdnih dobrin lahko izkoriščamo neposredno v gozdu kot takem, v nekaterih primerih pa lahko gozd/kmetijsko površino obdelujemo v smeri kmetijsko-gozdarskega sistema, torej nasada (plantaže). V Evropi so najpogostejši nasadi, namenjeni proizvodnji nelesnih gozdnih dobrin, nasadi, namenjeni pridelavi ektomikoriznih vrst gliv (gomoljike, mlečnice, lupljivke). Med primere dobre prakse v svetovnem merilu zagotovo sodi proizvodnja več vrst gomoljik, ki v Sloveniji še ni razširjena, niti prilagojena na lokalne razmere.
