The event entitled 'NIRITALIA online, waiting for Slovenia 2022' was held on 24-25 February 2021. We were pleased to virtually host two distinguished keynote speakers Dr. José Manuel Amigo and Dr. Ingunn Burud who shared years of experience with NIR spectroscopy. Prof Dolores Perez-Martin introduced the new COST action CA19145 - European Network for assuring food integrity using non-destructive spectral sensors, closely related SISNIR activity. There were 26 oral presentations and 9 poster presentations in six different sessions: Agro-food, Functional NIR, Imaging, Forestry & Wood, Portable instruments, PAT & Industry, and Chemometrics, Aquaphotomics, and Pharma.
