In Central Europe a number of different reasons have contributed to the decreasing competitiveness of forestry companies who perform nature-based management techniques. A consequence of this is the decrease in silvicultural work, a phenomenon we have also observed in Slovenia in the last decade. The article highlights the reasons for this situation, which are somewhat different in Slovenia than in more developed countries. The author then presents some of the effects of the decrease in the tending of young forests by groups of Slovenian forests in which different functions are accentuated. The central part of the article is devoted to the selected counter-measures and these are presented with respect to the various fields of forestry"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Modeli sonaravnega gospodarjenja z gozdovi temeljijo na negovalni sečnji in negovalnih delih.
