Therefore, making pupils computer literate in the early stages of primary education is of utmost importance. This paper aims to present how computer-free activities contribute to the development of computational thinking in first triad pupils. It is intended for teachers interested in innovative approaches to teaching computational thinking at an early age. We want to shed light on how computer-free games and activities can help form the basic skills necessary for the development of computational thinking in the future. We used a qualitative approach for the research, in which we collected data over several months observing pupils in various activities. The research results showed that computer-free activities contributed to the development of basic skills, such as analytical thinking, pattern recognition, and the ability to solve problems. Through games and tasks, pupils developed the ability to break down tasks into smaller units and find solutions, which they later successfully used in tasks that involved computational approaches. During the research, we observed an improvement in their ability to use logical reasoning and understand basic algorithms. Pupils have different prior knowledge and skills, so the challenge was to appropriately adapt the tasks so that everyone could complete them successfully"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Računalniška pismenost postaja temeljna veščina v današnjem šolskem sistemu, saj uporaba računalnikov, interneta in drugih digitalnih orodij že natančno vstopa v vsakodnevno življenje. Zato je izjemnega pomena, da učence računalniško opismenimo že v zgodnjih fazah osnovnošolskega izobraževanja. Namen prispevka je predstaviti, kako dejavnosti brez računalnika prispevajo k razvoju računalniškega mišljenja pri učencih prve triade. Prispevek je namenjen učiteljem, ki se zanimajo za inovativne pristope k učenju računalniškega mišljenja v zgodnjem obdobju. Osvetliti želimo, kako lahko igre in dejavnosti brez računalnika pomagajo pri oblikovanju osnovnih veščin, potrebnih za kasnejši razvoj računalniškega mišljenja. Za raziskavo smo uporabili kvalitativni pristop, pri katerem smo več mesecev zbirali podatke skozi opazovanje učencev pri različnih dejavnostih. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da so aktivnosti brez računalnika prispevale k razvoju osnovnih veščin, kot so analitično razmišljanje, razumevanje vzorcev in sposobnost reševanja problemov. Učenci so skozi igre in naloge razvijali sposobnost razčlenjevanja nalog na manjše enote in iskanja rešitev, kar so kasneje uspešno uporabili pri nalogah, ki so vključevale računalniške pristope. V času raziskave smo opazili izboljšanje njihove sposobnosti logičnega sklepanja in razumevanja osnovnih algoritmov.
