Functional capacity in persons with spinal cord injury is low compared to the general population. Test je standardiziran za ljudi, ki nimajo težav pri gibanju. Pri izvedbi testa pri osebah z okvaro hrbtenjače in razlagi rezultatov moramo upoštevati nekatere posebnosti zaradi omejitev pri delovanju bolnikovega pljučnega, srčno-žilnega in gibalnega sistema. Telesna zmogljivost oseb z okvaro hrbtenjače je manjša v primerjavi z osebami brez težav pri gibanju.
