A literature review revealed that motor competencies and fundamental motor skills are not well defined, as the authors use different terms for the same concepts and do not always describe motor tasks in the literature, which they classify as motor competencies or fundamental motor skills"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Temeljne gibalne veščine so osnova, ki otrokom in mladostnikom omogoča sodelovanje v gibalnih aktivnostih. Če strokovnjaki dobro poznajo temeljne gibalne veščine, lahko otroke in mladostnike spodbujajo k sodelovanju pri gibalnih aktivnostih za vrednotenje in izboljšanje njihovih temeljnih gibalnih veščin.
