The two periods are not similar with regard to the species composition of the game. The two periods are similar or dissimilar according to the presence of specific wild game species. Between the two periods the uses of space changed a lot, the proportion of farmland was reduced while the proportion of forest increased. The change of use of space has a great impact on the number and distribution of wild game populationsDelo obravnava razvoj populacij divjadi v obdobjih od 1951 do 1960 in od 1994 do 2003 v Tolminskem gozdnogospodarskem območju na severozahodu Slovenije. Po vrstni sestavi divjadi si obdobji nista podobni, po prisotnosti posameznih vrst pa sta si obdobji podobni ali različni. Med obdobjema so se rabe prostoraspremenile, zmanjšal se je delež kmetijskih površin in povečal delež gozda.
