Čermák’s theory has had in Slovenia. It attempts to answer the question why paroemiological units belong to phraseology and gives reasons for the difference between idiom variants and the forms in use or idiom forms. The existence of idioms that are formed from paroemiological units is studied from the synchronic perspective and the coexistence of both represents extreme points that are connected with intermediate structural variationsPrispevek povzame razumevanje paremioloških enot v frazeologiji in predstavi vpliv teorije češkega jezikoslovca F. Čermáka v slovenskem prostoru. Prizadeva si odgovoriti na vprašanje, zakaj paremije sodijo v frazeologijo, in argumentira razliko med frazemskimi variantami in t. i. oblikami rabe oz. frazemskimi oblikami.
