Inspite of this,the university core of sociologists in Ljubljana strongly dominates public professional activities. In the last few years the number of unemployed sociologists has been increasing. This is related to the theoretical dimensions of professionalisation and socialisation, on \"public sociology\" and on how \"everything melts in to the air\". However, sociology in Slovenia is primarily melting when - traversing from the university - it does not succeed to assert its own identity in practice; thus it is less an issue of the spread and affirmative transformation of sociological findings in different user contexts.With the aid of responses from a web inquiry among alumni, the author presents his experiences concerning the assertion and loss of their identity. Several proposals for future activities are given"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V Sloveniji se povečuje število diplomiranih sociologov in vse več se jih zaposluje izven ožje, 'akademske' sfere. Kljub temu pa v javni profesionalni dejavnosti izrazito prevladuje univerzitetno jedro sociologov v Ljubljani, drugi pa se dostikrat porazgubijo. V zadnjih letih se povečuje tudi število brezposelnih sociologov, kar je mogoče navezati na teoretske razprave o profesionalizaciji in socializaciji, o 'javni sociologiji' in o tem, kako se 'razblinja vse kar je bilo trdnega'. Vendar se sociologija v Sloveniji razblinja predvsem ob tem, ko ob prehajanju iz univerze ne uspeva uveljaviti svoje identitete v praksi, manj pa v afirmativnem smislu,z vključevanjem in preobrazbo njenih spoznanj v različnih uporabniških kontekstih. Avtor na osnovi spletne poizvedbe med diplomanti sociologije predstavlja njihove izkušnje z uveljavljanjem oziroma izgubo njihove profesionalne identitete.
