We have described the most important yew locations in Europe, modest and poorly studied remains in our territory and listed some reasons contributing to the best conservation of stands in Kozjansko. Using phytocoenological inventories and Ellenberg's ecological indicators we have compared their sites. We have outlined the most important silvicultural measures for protecting, caring for, and stimulating yew expansion in environments with better developed forestry as well as indicated yew's cultural imprint in park art and healing"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V želji, da bi vzpodbudili zanimanje in skrb za izumirajočo drevesno vrsto tiso, smo predstavili njen duhovni in materialni pomen v preteklosti, zlasti njeno sled v zgodovino bojevanja ter posledice njenega nazadovanja v slovenskih gozdovih. Opisali smo najpomembnejša nahajališča tis v Evropi, njene skromne in slabo proučene ostanke na našem ozemlju ter navedli razloge, ki so prispevali k najbolj ohranjenim sestojem na Kozjanskem. S pomočjo fitocenoloških popisov in Ellenbergovih ekoloških indikatorjev smo primerjali njihova rastišča.
