In the case of imaginative perception, there are three objects to be distinguished: depicting, imaginative, and depicted objects. Unlike the object of simple sensory perception, which exists within the spatiotemporal reality of the observer, the imaginative object does not appear in this reality. Instead, it exists as something quasi-real rather than genuinely real.
