The specifics of the vegetation of that region, above all of the natural Austrian black pine stands (Fraxino orni-Pinetum nigrae) and the community of beech and Hairy Alpenrose (Rhododendro hirsuti-Fagetum) are presented. The region of Govci is one of therare regions in Slovenia where as many as five species significant for Europe (when speaking within the framework of the project Natura 2000) grow: those are our three endemics: Primula carniolica, Campanula zoysii and Hladnikia pastinacifolia, as well as the species Aquilegia bertolonii and Arabis scopoliana. On account of the above mentioned characteristics of its flora and vegetation the northern edge of the Trnovski gozd plateau above the Trebuša valley will almost certainly be ranged within the specially protected regions selected according to the criteria of the European CommunityV članku je kratek oris gospodarjenja z gozdovi v dolini Trebuše, s poudarkom na Govcih, strmih, skalnatih dolomitnih pobočjih na severnem robu Trnovskega gozda. Opisane so posebnosti njihovega rastja, predvsem naravno črno borovje (Fraxino orni-Pinetum nigrae) in združba bukve in dlakavega sleča (Rhododendrohirsuti-Fagetum). Govci so eno redkih območij v Sloveniji, kjer raste na razmeroma majhni površini kar pet vrst, ki jim v okviru projekta Natura 2000 posvečamo posebno pozornost. To so trije naši endemiti: kranjski jeglič (Primula carniolica), Zoisova zvončica (Campanula zoysii), hladnikovka (Hladnikia pastinacifolia) ter Bertolonijeva orlica (Aquilegia bertolonii) in Scopolijev repnjak (Arabis scopoliana).
