The paper presents the situation and perspectives in the field of use of standards for the description of archival material, persons, functions and archival institutions. At the same time, the paper provides an overview of the situation in the field of describing in Slovenia in comparison with some foreign cases, with emphasis on where to find common ground and key divergences. The results obtained from the analysis offer answers to potential solutions of ensuring a higher quality of describing and presentation of information provided and offered by the Slovenian public archival service"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Ena izmed pomembnih nalog v okviru projekta e-ARH.si je raziskava stanja na področju popisovanja arhivskega gradiva oziroma njegova standardizacija. Avtorica v prispevku predstavlja stanje in perspektive na področju uporabe standardov za popisovanje gradiva, oseb, funkcij in arhivskih inštitucij. Prispevek hkrati ponuja posnetek stanja na področju popisovanja arhivskega gradiva v Sloveniji, primerjalno z nekaterimi tujimi primeri ter s poudarki na vprašanjih, kje lahko najdemo skupne točke in kje so ključna razhajanja.
